Designing the Kletso mascot
From a simple shape to a global friend: a behind-the-scenes look at how our mascot came to life.

The name Kletso comes from the Dutch word kletsen, to chat. The mascot had to feel like that: warm, quick to smile, never in the way.
A round shape with one job
We started with a circle in Dutch orange and two dot eyes. Everything else, the tiny arms and feet, the expressions, the sunglasses, came later. A single readable silhouette works at 24 pixels in a chat header and at full size on a landing page.
Ten poses, one character
Wave, thinking, laughing, working, explaining, celebrating and more. Each pose is a separate asset so it can be animated independently in the product, in emails and in video.
Where it shows up
Empty states, loading, success moments and the launcher itself. It is playful in marketing and quiet in the product, where your brand should lead.
