Abandoned cart nudge
When the app decides a cart is abandoned, the assistant speaks first with a helpful turn and quick replies, at most a few times per hour.
Goal
App → track('cart_abandoned', {'value': '₹3,198'}) → the chat receives “Looks like you left something in your cart (₹3,198). Want a hand finishing checkout?” with quick replies; the launcher shows an unread dot. No banner unless you add one.
Pieces
- SDK: your cart timer fires
Kletso.instance.track('cart_abandoned', {'value': formattedTotal, 'items': count}). - Rule “Cart abandoned nudge” (sample): event
cart_abandoned, cap 3 per hour, Agent speaks first with opening text using{{ properties.value }}and the quick-replies surface.
Steps
- Decide the abandonment signal in the app (for example 10 minutes on the cart screen without checkout, or app backgrounded with items).
- Fire the event once per abandonment, not on a loop; the rule’s cap protects users anyway.
- Optionally tick Notify the app with channel
toastand “Tap opens the chat” so the user notices even outside the chat.
Verify
- Simulate
cart_abandonedwith{ "value": "₹3,198" }→ the opening turn streams in the simulator with the value filled in. - App: fire it while the chat is closed → unread dot; open → the turn is there.
Notes
- Add
context.cartValueto public context keys if you want the model (in later turns) to know the amount. - Quick replies are
agentactions; tapping one continues with the real model.
